No. The Markdown parser runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing you type is sent to a server or saved after you close the tab.

Why does my code block not render correctly?

Make sure the opening and closing triple backticks (```) are each on their own line, with no extra spaces before them. The content between them is treated as preformatted code.
