Protect PDF
Add password protection to PDF files.
Coming soon
PDF password protection requires encryption support that runs server-side. Browser-based PDF libraries do not yet expose a stable encryption API. We are building a secure server-side implementation for this feature.
What will be supported:
- +User password to restrict opening
- +Owner password to restrict editing and copying
- +AES-256 encryption
- +Permission flags (print, copy, annotate)
Existing tools like Split PDF, Merge PDF, and Delete PDF Pages run entirely in your browser with no upload required.
PDF password protection is coming to Filagram
We are working on a secure way to add AES-256 password protection to PDF files. The feature will support user passwords, owner passwords, and permission flags for printing and copying.
In the meantime, you can use our other PDF tools that already run in your browser: merge, split, reorder, delete pages, add page numbers, and extract text.
